McLaren Press Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update – April 5, 2021
The purpose of this message is to communicate with everyone involved how we are responding and how any changes we are implementing might affect you and your business, and encourage each of you to communicate with us any changes you are implementing as a result of the Covid-19 situation.
How is this affecting current operations?
On April 3 the Ontario Government revised the list of essential workplaces reducing that list from 73 to 44 categories effective midnight April 4, 2020. Based on the published list of essential businesses, we will remain open and operating based on the fact that our core business is part of the supply chain to Newspaper Publishers, which are deemed essential. There continues to be widely spread print job cancellations and postponements which has meant we have had to cut back some of planned operations and deliveries in the upcoming weeks. If your scheduled job is not going to be delivered on time as a result of these operating cutbacks and disruptions, you will be notified. Please do not contact us to confirm this, as we are having to deal with a large volume of inquiries with reduced on-site staff. Again, this is all very fluid, and we will communicate any further significant changes. As well, we are adjusting schedules, deliveries, etc. to best assist customers who have also been affected with other shutdowns.
What are we asking of you?
Please do not send your driver here if they have a fever or other symptoms of illness
Please ask your drivers to not bring any persons here with them unless they are required to assist with the pickup
Please inform us of any changes to your operation, schedule, etc.
Please provide us with any and all necessary emergency contacts (phone and e-mail)We intend to keep you abreast of any changes in the status of our operations as things proceed.
